26' VS1-A230 facade with curved IGUs

This business park in Houston, Texas—originally designed by Philip Johnson in the 1970s—will soon feature a curved VS1 facade enclosing new retail space. The 26’ vertical span is achieved with the VS1-A230 system. The mullions will be tension-hung, spaced at 5’, and supporting curved IGUs with standard VS1 fittings.

VS1-A230 removes the standard offset of VS1-A100 by structurally glazing the mullion directly to the face glass with a structural silicone. This approach minimizes metal at the glazing interface. RS10 is a slender, 10”-deep rectangular mullion with a step in the profile. This VS1 curtain wall will be installed in June 2026, and the space is slated to open later in the year.

Innovation Glass is grateful for a first-time collaboration with Duke Glass, and for another opportunity to work with Page, who designed Central State Hospital and the George Bush Intercontinental Airport Terminal B Redevelopment.
