Architect: Lohan Associates (now Goettsch Partners)
Installer: Trainor Glass Co
Location: Chicago, Illinois

This installation at One North Wacker Drive in Chicago was the first cable net in the United States. It was inspired by the Kempinski Hotel in Munich, Germany which was the first glass cable net ever built. The One North Wacker facade was the first time a full performance mock up test was conducted on a cable net glass wall. It attracted worldwide attention when it was conducted in Florida and passed on the first attempt. It opened the use of this technology on many projects in the US and internationally.
