VS1 Passes Miami-Dade High Velocity Hurricane Zone Certification TEST

Dear Friends,

We are pleased to announce that our VS1-A100 system has successfully passed the most rigorous wind and storm testing standards in the United States: the Miami Dade County Certification. This is a significant accomplishment made possible by the durability of the VS1 system. This simple kit of parts has proven its ability to withstand a full spectrum of conditions, time and time again.

  • VS1-A100 – Standard point-supported system w/ offset glazing and external patch fitting

  • Glass Makeup – 1.5” thick

    • ¼” tempered (outer lite)

    • ½” Air

    • ⅜ " tempered - 0.090 SG interlayer - ⅜ ” tempered (inner lite)

  • Glass Size  - 7'-9" x 10'

  • Sealing – Dual silicone seal using DOW795 for both interior and exterior seal with a backer rod separation in between

  • Head/Sill – Typical aluminum glazing channel

  • Jambs – Mullion with hollow jamb closure extrusion

We are now ready to support any project in the state of Florida, as well as other high wind US coastal zones, including the Caribbean Islands.

Gratefully,
