Two 28’ 6” (8.7m) steel-framed VS1 entry facades will welcome visitors to the new Ayn Rand Center in Austin, Texas. VS1 strip windows, a standard detail which replace the vertical mullions with edge channels, will also adorn the north and south elevations. Key to the design with John Ronin Architects was the maximization of daylight. The VS1 system, with its ability to recess perimeter conditions and inherent reduction in framing, achieves this aesthetic effortlessly.
The VS1-S230 system is a direct glaze application of our technology, replacing our point-supported fittings with a continuous structural silicone adhesion. This project features 6’ 8” (2m) module spacing. Installation of the VS1 scopes will occur in summer 2027.
Innovation Glass is grateful for a first time collaboration with John Ronin Architects, and for another opportunity to work with Binswanger, who installed the VS1 facade at the George Bush International Airport FIS Building.
