A valued referral from a long term client led to a first time collaboration with the Rowland Design team on this intricate project. VS1 was used to solve two facade conditions: the main 24ft clear span walls at the library space and the 11ft high courtyard walls with entrances. The large span condition required the 10" deep mullion while the smaller span allowed the 5" section to be used. An exterior wire mesh screen at the large span wall created an intriguing layering to the enclosure solution. This project has already received accolades from the architectural community with a 2017 AIA Indiana Merit award for new construction.
