St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum & Learning Center

Architect: TR,i Architects
Installer: NGG Ltd
Location: St. Louis, Missouri

To commemorate their 25th year, the Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum constructed a new facility that tripled its space. That expansion, which features a faceted VS1 entry facade with bulletproof glass, opened to the public in November of 2022.

The entry wall is a folded 24' VS1 facade with an all-glass fold line supported by 10" heavy bullet-shaped mullion. Mullions with mitered bends bring the fold line to life without the need for any horizontal metal. The design goal was to symbolize Kristallnacht and the theme of shattered glass.

The museum—one of just 22 Holocaust museums in the United States—is home to installations and exhibits meant to facilitate dialogue and create positive change.
