WHAT & HOW
Hospitality, New Build · VS1-A210 direct glaze facade; 40' span with toggle glass

VS1 was chosen for a facade enclosing a slope-side lounge at the new Four Seasons in Park City, Utah. The curtain wall, which will reach a height of 40’ 2” (12.25m), will be built using the VS1-A210 system, a direct glaze variation of our technology that removes the offset between mullion and glass and achieves a flush glass exterior.

The curtain wall will enclose a lounge and bar area on the ground floor, with the 40’ 2” (12.25m) scope, supported by the RS12.8 mullion, facing the slopes. The head condition slopes downwards as the wall wraps around the room, and as the span decreases the mullion switches to the RS5 mullion. As the span decreases further, to 4’ 8” (1.4m), the standard VS1 clerestory detail (which employs a perimeter channel at the head and sill with unsupported vertical edges) is used. Around the facade the mullion spacing is 5’ (1.5m).

Innovation Glass is grateful for a first-time collaboration with the glazier, Reflection Window + Wall. VS1 was previously selected for a Kohn Pederson Fox project in London.
