VS1-A100 facade at street level and second floor; all-glass corners

This 2013 renovation and expansion of the Slover Library included a curtain wall scope tailor-made for the VS1 system. The two-story VS1 curtain wall installation achieves a remarkable level of transparency while incorporating a “zig-zag” aesthetic with inward and outward facing all-glass corners. The facade utilizes our RS8.6 mullion with patch fittings.

Norfolk’s then-mayor Paul D. Fraim said of the renovation: “Newman's design melds three generations of architectural styles into one beautifully appointed building. Not only will Slover engage and delight the public, but it represents Norfolk’s history as well as its future.”
